Accessibility Statement – ARIS website

1. Accessibility Statement

The Slovenian Research and Innovation Agency (hereinafter: ARIS) undertakes to ensure the accessibility of its websites in accordance with the Act on the Accessibility of Websites and Mobile Applications (Official Gazette of the Republic of Slovenia, No. 30/18, as amended; hereinafter: ZDSMA).

This accessibility statement applies to the ARIS website, available at https://www.aris-rs.si/sl/.

2. Level of compliance

The ARIS website is partially compliant with the requirements of the ZDSMA. The non-conformities relate exclusively to archived documents that were transferred from a previous version of the website and were not originally produced in accordance with current accessibility standards. All other content and features of the website comply with the WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.

3. Content not available

The following content does not meet all accessibility requirements:

Archive documents (PDF, Word, Excel)

Documents that were transferred from the previous version of the website do not meet all accessibility requirements. WCAG 2.1 criteria affected:

  • 1.1 Non-text content – images and graphic elements in documents do not have alternative text
  • 3.1 Information and relationships – the structure of documents (headings, lists, tables) is not fully marked up for screen readers
  • 1.2 Name, role, value – interactive elements in some PDF documents do not have the appropriate programme tags

Reason: the documents were created before the current accessibility standards came into force and have not been adapted since. An accessible version of a specific document can be provided on request.

4. Accessibility features

The website is designed to enable:

  • use via the keyboard,
  • use with screen readers,
  • adapting the display to different devices (responsive design),
  • sufficient contrast between the text and the background,
  • a clear and logical structure of the content, and
  • enlarging the content without any loss of information or functionality.

The development and maintenance of the website takes into account the guidelines of standard EN 301 549 and the WCAG 2.1 recommendations at Level AA.

5. Drawing up an accessibility statement

This statement was drawn up on 30 6. 2026, based on a self-assessment that included functional testing of the website using screen readers, checks on contrast and content structure, and a review of compliance with the WCAG 2.1 AA criteria.

The statement was last reviewed on 30 6. 2026.
