(Ljubljana, February 18 2019) The Minister of Education, Science and Sports Prof Dr Jernej Pikalo has visited the ARRS. Prof Pikalo was accompanied by the State Secretary Dr Jernej Štromajer and Director of the Directorate for Science Dr Tomaž Boh.

Minister first met with the director of the ARRS Prof Dr József Györkös and heads of sectors, and proceeded by joining the ARRS Scientific Council's session.

Topics of conversations reflected the working nature of the visit. Participants discussed current issues as the recent successful increase of state budget funding for R&D, the mid-term prospects related to R&D funding, the upcoming process of thorough revision of the Act on Research and Development, and mid-term priorities of the ARRS.
