The winter edition of the ERC Ideas Newsletter has given focus on Slovenia. Slovenia has in 2016 through joint actions of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sports and Slovenian Research Agency (ARRS) reinforced activities and support mechanisms to enhance success in ERC calls for proposals.

In November 2016 ARRS published a Public call for (co)financing potential ERC candidates to visit ERC grantees in 2017. The call will support up to 20 visits which represent superior quality of research exchange at world renowned researchers and in state-of-the art scientific environments.
