This internationally standardized indicator shows the scientific papers that are 
among top 10% most cited in the world in a particular field of research. In 
2015, Slovenia was ranked 11th among EU Member States by number of such papers 
per million inhabitants. Slovenia reached the EU28 value by number of such 
papers per million inhabitants in 2007 and has continued to grow in relation to 
the EU28 value. The graphs show scientific papers that appeared in the journals 
indexed in the Scopus bibliographic database by individual year. Since a 
citation window covers the year of publication and three subsequent years, the 
latest available data relate to the papers published in 2015.
