                    | Partners of Central European Science Partnership – CEUS signed a Memorandum of Understanding on establishment of the multilateral Lead Agency | | | (Vienna, June 17 2019) Founding members of
the Central European
Science Partnership – CEUS , among them ARRS, have signed a
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on establishment of the multilateral Lead
Agency today in Vienna. This is a very first agreement of this kind in Europe,
signed by more than three research funding agencies. By signing the MoU, the
four agencies reconfirmed mutual recognition of individual evaluation
procedures' standards as a basis for introduction of principle of trust, as
stepping stone of the Lead Agency cooperation. The CEUS partnership was grounded in September 2018 and is founded by the
FWF (Fonds zur Förderung der
wissenschafltichen Forschung - Austria),
GA ČR (Grantová Agentura České Republiky – Czech Republic),
NCN (Narodowe Centrum
Nauki - Poland) and ARRS. The signed MoU will enable researchers from above mentioned countries to come
forward with joint bi- or trilateral research projects. By applying the Lead
Agency scheme the administrative burdens on research teams will be significantly
reduced.

		| Prof. József Györkös expressed his high content after the
signing of the MoU and underlined, that »this is a first important
operative step of the CEUS partnership. It grants researchers with the
opportunity to build new or enhance existing collaborations with fellow
researchers in the Central European Region by opting them funding for
		collaborative research projects«.
